Center for XR, Game Lab, and Game Library
The Center for XR Experience and Design at Rutgers University is a hub for the exploration and experience of virtual and augmented reality technology. The center aims to provide an inclusive, accessible, and engaging space for students, faculty, and community members to experience cutting-edge VR and AR technologies, focusing on empathy and spatial justice. The center offers multi-player VR experiences, virtual productions, augmented spaces, and simulations, aligning with the University's DEIA+ mission by providing access and a sense of Belonging to typically inaccessible technology. With a dedicated space of 900 square feet, the center will provide ample room for multiple VR headsets, motion capture equipment, and other technology, as well as a comfortable and collaborative working environment for researchers, students, and the community. The center is critical to Rutgers University's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through immersive technologies.
